Study pathways after CHC30125

After completing CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, graduates can continue their studies with the CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Eligible units completed in the Certificate III can contribute credit towards the Diploma, reducing duplicated study.

The Diploma develops more advanced knowledge and can support progression towards room leader, educational leadership and service-management responsibilities.


Vocational placement requirements

CHC30125 students must complete a minimum of 160 hours of vocational placement in an ACECQA-approved regulated education and care service. Placement is completed across the course and must include practical experience with babies and toddlers under two years of age.

You need to be employed or volunteering in a suitable service to complete the practical components. If you do not already have access to a service, Venture Education may be able to help you connect with an industry partner; placement cannot be guaranteed.

If you already work in an eligible service, verified employment hours may count towards the placement requirement. Your trainer will review supporting evidence and confirm which hours can be accepted.
