Job Opportunities

Does Venture Education assist students to find employment?

Venture Education supports students to find a service to complete the required vocational placement hours. However, in relation to employment students are encouraged to seek this at their own discretion. Venture Education and their trainers have years of industry experience and can support you to prepare for gaining employment within the industry once you have completed your course.

Age Requirement

Is there a minimum age requirement?

The minimum age to enrol in a course with Venture Education is 15 years of age; please refer to each course overview for further information relating to other entry requirements. Age restrictions differ for students who are looking to undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship. The Child Employment Act states that the minimum age for apprentices and trainees is 13 years of age unless otherwise stated.

Course Duration

How long does it take to complete the qualification?

The duration to complete a qualification aligns to the required Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) volume of learning indicators. The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is 12 months, and the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is 24 months. However, students who have current industry experience may be eligible to fast track the course and complete it in a sooner time. If a student requires more time to complete the qualification, the student may apply for an extension. Please note that fees apply for any extensions. 

How is the Course Delivered?

Does Venture Education offer face to face classes?

No. Venture Education delivers its qualifications via a blended format to allow flexibility for our students. This includes, flexible online learning, vocational placement, ongoing online trainer support (phone, skype, email), and regular workplace trainer visits. Even though there are no dedicated classes, your trainer will visit you regularly in the workplace for face to face support and assessment.
