Complex Needs Skill Set

Provide support to families and children with complex needs

The Skill Set is designed to support Educators, Coordinators, Teachers, Managers and Directors with the necessary knowledge and skills to be more effective in monitoring individuals, responding to behaviours of concern, dealing with conflict and supporting responsibility for behaviour management and change.

This skill set will also assist individuals to plan intervention and support activities; responding effectively for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. If I have completed another qualification am I eligible for credit?

Yes. You will need to indicate that you are applying for credit transfer when enrolling. If you have completed a qualification or unit/s that are the exact units listed as part of the skill set, you will be required to provide a valid academic transcript or statement of attainment which shows competency in these units. Please note that Venture Education must validate all supporting documents with the previous training provider or via the USI registry before applying for the credit.
