1. Do you love children?

There's no two ways about it. You need to absolutely love children in order to even think about a career in childcare. Children are gorgeous and sweet, they make you smile and will help you to find the simple things in life enjoyable. However, they are dependent on the adults around them to help them with everything, from sitting up to eating, toileting to sleeping, they are busy exploring everything they can get their hands on. It's hard work being the person to help our little researchers go about their mission of learning.

In the childcare industry you work your way up from a Certificate III, to a Diploma,  Advanced Diploma all the way through to a Bachelor's Degree.
